<p>During Sunday night’s Grammys, Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs took the stage together to perform Fast Car a song originated by Chapman, and was brought back into the pop-culture spotlight this past summer with Combs’ rendition, which reached number 2 on the Billboard chart. Chapman, who rarely makes public appearances, originally wrote and performed Fast Car 36 years ago, yet her music clearly continues to resonate with listeners across generations.</p>
